Dec. 1997

Volkswagen Group's three companies (AUDI AG, Volkswagen Group Japan KK and Fahren Tokyo KK) reach a basic agreement on the reorganization of Group business in the Japanese market. AUDI AG purchases Fahren Tokyo in TOB (takeover bid).

Feb. 1998

TOB closes. AUDI AG acquires 88.55% of the shares.

Apr. 1998

Company name is changed to Audi Japan KK, and operations as an import wholesaler of Audi products in Japan commence. Volkswagen Audi Parts Center (VAPC) is established.

Dec. 1998

AUDI AG acquires 100% of the shares.

Sep. 2001

Lamborghini Business Department launches.

Oct. 2002

Yanase Audi Sales Co., a joint venture with Yanase & Co, is established.

Jul. 2007

A joint investment with Yanase & Co. is dissolved, and all shares of Yanase Audi Sales Co are acquired.
